Actually, the Law on Public Radio and Television was enacted and the Parliament appointed the members of National Board of Public Radio & Television. As a law required the appointments prosess was open. However, when a time come to appoint a general director of the Public Radio and Television, a political parties started to influence to the appointment.
Yesterday, 10 candidates have summitted their materials to the working group of National Board of Public Radio& Television. 2 candidates out of them, Mr.Ts.Enkhbat and Mr.Ts.Munkhtur are nominated on behalf of the political parties. MRPP has candidated Mr.Ts.Enkhbat on this position. The Democratic Party are supporting Mr.Ts.Munkhtur. They have worked before on Mongolian National Radio and Television.
Can the government –controlled broadcater transform into Public broadcaster or not. This, actual question will be solved by the National Board's selection very soon.
