On Monday at 15.00 December 19, 2005 at the conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce the Globe International NGO has organized the introductory round table on “Free expression violation monitoring” to raise awareness among Mongolian society of the need and importance of free expression. More than 50 participants including TV& Radio and newspaper journalists, media professionals, lawyers and representatives of NGO, civil society groups international organizations and foreign embassies was involved to this round table. Mrs.H.Naranjargal , project leader has introduced that Globe International NGO is starting the free expression violation monitoring aimed to accurately analyze the condition of media freedom of expression in Mongolian media. The monitoring will be implemented by the Globe International NGO through the project “Monitoring free expression violations and supporting the rights of independent media“. 
The project has been started since October 2005 with the financial support of the Open Society Institute in Budapest through Open Society Forum in Mongolia.
The project will be established an effective free-expression monitoring network consisted from media lawyer and 7 journalists from UB and 5 regions, which will urgently report on free expression violations and distribute the alerts nationally and internationally. The Globe International will be a part of the international network and the information on the free expression situation will be disseminated a outside of the country. The project will provide free legal consultancy for journalists through individual meetings and via the Internet, as well as through the educational handbooks Ms.D.Munklhburen , project coordinator introduced to the survey report among Mongolian journalists. The survey conducted on the violation of free expression situation among 100 journalists working in seven print media outlets including five daily and two independent yellow paper and also involved a journalists of national radio and television. The survey revealed that even as a journalists are willing to abide a princip of professional ethics however it always violates due to a strong coerce and censorship. Also exposed, a nessecity and importance to organize a legal education training among journalists and provide legal assistance and advice for them.
The project will be implemented in partnership with the International Freedom of Expression eXchange  (IFEX) and Center for Journalists for Extreme Situation ( CJES ), Moscow . 
The project partners which came to Ulaanbaatar to conduct the training to the local project staff also was involved to this introductory round table and Mr. David Kozak , IFEX expert introduced to IFEX /Action Alerts network/ and it's significance and Mr. Oleg Panfilov , Director, Center of journalists in extreme situation and Mrs. Galina Arapova , Media lawyer introduced a goal and significance of free expression violation monitoring and legal monitoring.
The project implementers believe that, the monitoring conducted over the one year will contribute to the improvement of the favorable environment of the free press, which plays the in leading role in the further development of Mongolian democracy.
