Globe International Center NGO has conducted “The baseline survey on awareness of the right to access public information and the FOI law in 20 soums and the Result has been analyzed and now available in the public domain.

The Guidebook “Right to know”is now available on the GIC’ website. it educates on the citizens’ right to direct participation and right to information, instructions on how to request information, types of information which must be open by the law and how to complain, if request is rejected as well as contains the full text of the FOI law.

Globe International Centre, Mongolian free expression NGO and the Mongolian Journalists Association under support of Open Society Forum, Mongolia marked the World Press Freedom Day 2013 on May 1, 2012 at the OSF Conference Hall. It gathered more than 75 politicians, officials, international organisations, NGOs, journalists and media practitioners.

Today, the world is marking the 20th anniversary of the WPFD. Windhoek Declaration has been adopted in May 3, 1991 and it was first officially proclaimed during the United Nations General Assembly in 1993. The UN calls its State Parties to focus the WPFD 2013 on the theme of “Safe to Speak: Securing Freedom of Expression in All Media” and puts the spotlight in particular on the issues of safety of journalists, combating impunity for crimes against freedom of expression, and securing a free and open Internet as the precondition for safety online.

Translation and voice over of 6 documentaries has recently done in the framework of the project “One World in schools” which has been co-implemented by PIN (INGO) and Globe International under funding from the EU, Czech Republic Development cooperation.

Globe International Centre NGO in cooperation with Mongolian Journalists Organisation will organise on May 1, 2013 an event dedicated to the World Press Freedom Day at conference hall of Open Society Forum.

Globe International NGO has launched a new project called “Advocacy on Implementation of Anti-Corruption Laws and Regulations” with funding from USAID, The Asia Foundation.

The Consultative Committee for policy development and consultation has been formed under the agreement among GI, Independent Authority against corruption in Mongolia (IAACM), Government of Mongolia, Office of president, and “Direct Democracy” institute, and Transparency foundation.
