A working group has been set up in charge of providing preparation work for making a draft Law on Freedom of Information be discussed in a plenary meeting of the State Great Khural, and drawing up a draft proposal and conclusion. Business roaming project implemented by Globe International NGO and Internews France, opened its brand new studio at the Globe International NGO’s office. The studio will help the Business Roaming team to deliver audio programs for small business entrepreneurs and herders to nomad population through local regional radio stations.

Globe International conducted a campaign “We want to Tell the Truth, but…”dedicated to the 2009 World Press Freedom Day.  The campaign started on 15 April 2009 with installation of the promotional billboard and banners in the main Ulaanbaatar streets and it involved the journalism students’ in events such as “New Generation for Fair Journalism”, the 2008 Media Freedom Report and media coverage.

This event was organized on May 1, 2009 at the press conference hall of Press Institute. It was agreed by a team of journalism experts that we should give the journalism students an opportunity to express their opinions and deliver their voices to the society what they want as future journalists.

Globe International, a Mongolian NGOs organised the 2d Civil Society Consultative Meeting on 23 April 2009 at Bishrelt hotel, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.  It is a part of the project “Curbing Corruption through Empowering Public Council” whish has been running since January 2009 under the grant of Partnership for Transparency Fund. The meeting involved 20 participants including representatives of PC, the Ant-corruption Agency and NGOs.
