Starting from 21 October 2005, Globe International NGO have begun to implement a project, of 2 inter-related activities designed to build the capacity of free-expression monitoring in Mongolia in cooperation with IFEX and Moscow-based Center for Journalists for Extreme Situation over a 12-month period.

Globe International Launches 2005 Presidential Election Media-Monitoring Project

Released on March 18, 2005 Globe International, an independent, non-partisan Mongolian NGO dedicated to freedom of expression and the media, is launching its 2005 Presidential Election Media-Monitoring Project to systematically monitor the media coverage of the 22 May presidential election. This project is conducted with the material and technical support of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), an international NGO headquartered in Washington, D.C. promoting democratic development worldwide. |

Law on Public Radio and TV passed with amendments

Yesterday, 17 Feb., 2005 the Mongolian Parliament accepted the President's veto on PSB law and passed the Law on Amendments on the Public Radio and TV Law. I have just received the official text of the new law.
